IFSUG is growing and needs volunteers! Would you or someone you know be interested? Here are some open positions:

  • Coffee mug coordinator: Do you like coffee? We want to have IFSUG coffee mugs every year! We’ll need someone to design/order them, then send them to participating In-House Users Groups and individuals.
  • Email blast coordinator: Oversee the email blasts. We’ll train this person with the software service we’re using. Even after the template is standardized, this is a little more involved and could involve two people, as it involves the following:
    • Scheduling the email blasts.
    • Putting the sponsot logos/links into them.
    • Arranging the content.
  • In-House Users Group (IHUG) liaison: Do you like talking with people? This person would be the point of contact to our participating IHUGs, telling them about IFSUG and/or helping them access IFSUG benefits.
  • Newsletter editor/typographer: We now have a new newsletter every quarter, and someone else will be getting articles – we need someone to edit those articles and put them into our newsletter template (which is in LaTeX – we can train you in this, but if you already know LaTeX, please talk to us!)
  • Sticker coordinator: We’re going to have IFSUG stickers for IFSUG members at future conferences. Would you like to be involved with this? It’s pretty simple – you design/order stickers and work with registrations for various SAS conferences to make sure IFSUG members get their stickers.
  • Training coordinator: We want to have training sessions, and we’ll need someone to help us set them up! This would involve talking to potential trainers, choosing sessions, scheduling a date/time, and a few other things.
  • Webmaster: No huge technical skills needed – this person would just update the website, not design a new one. If we do get a website redesign (which we hope to do!), we’ll train you on how to update that.
Are you potentially interested? If so, please email Nate Derby at nate@ifsug.org.
